In March 2009 the ORGANICagriculTOUR received the award of the UN Decade´s German national council as  a project of the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development . The project was selected again and the current award is valid for 2009 and 2010.

For the faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences this is the second UN-Decade´s award this year as the consecutive Bachelor and Master course "Organic Agriculture" has also been prized. Already last year the "Weltgarten" of the Witzenhausen tropical greenhouse got an United Nations Decade Project.
